The Merck Manuals - Professional App Reviews

Subscribers only service

Read the fine print as to how this app works. I didnt notice until I tried to use it. You need a username and login password to use the Merck Manuals. If you havens used one before, they are a treasure chest of information. But if you dont pay for the service, this app is useless to you. There is a demo access, but nothing more unless you pay for it.

No free trial

The Unbound Medicine site promises a free trial but apparently that is not the case, merely a useless demo. If the application does not work for you, as is the case with much "informational" software, it is a very costly waste of storage on your PDA.

Having Merck on your iPhone is invaluable at the bedside! Having the web access and integrated drug guide is a definite plus and are the reasons I chose this app over the others.

Unconvincing

An unconvincing demo of pricey subscription.

not free

MERCK manual is great but i dont like how they con you in downloading a free app and there is nothing free about it

Not free but worthy

cost 75$ for the complete package, you need to buy it from unbound medicine and sign up for ID and password, and when you download the free application From iTunes you need your ID to download the full worthy application, so nothing free except blindness and deafness... ما في شي ببلاش غير العمي و الطراش

Merck Manual

An astonishing amount of information in a very small package. Well indexed, authoratative, diagnostic with a complete index of drugs. A must have for the practictioner or nurse and informed lay person. A good subsitute for the long standing Merck Manual which it was dificult to do without. And all in your pocket and your phone. A must have for those persons with the need to have technical medical information and diagnostic confirmation.

MD

This is a useful program but its presentation is deceptive. It can only be installed on one device and the updates and internet access is by subscription only- ie the new price of $79 is paid each year for full access! The Merc manual and the drug info can be obtained for a much cheaper cost elsewhere.

Physician Assistant

Definitely useful as a quick and reasonably in-depth reference.

Rn gives two thumbs up

User friendly, all in one makes it convenient. Its my go-to.

Merck manual is my best friend. No heavy books since Nursing School, it is highly recommendable. I am now in grad school (MSN program) while working full time, so I use my Merck Manual-Davis drug book+references. I love it!!!! Its worth my money. Thanks.

Good resource.

Good to have.

Use it all day. Great reference for grad student.

A decent value - I should be able to use it on multiple devices though. That ticked me off.

..

New 19th edition is great! I can find what I am looking for quickly and easily. Love the favorites feature as I can bookmark all of the topics I need that day.

Well worth every penny.

All of the text in an easily searchable format, plus video, audio, and images. Great!

Love this app!

I use it all the time, great learning resource.

Cant get it to work

They Still have not got the bugs out and made this functional...waste of time.

Not a FREE app!

I hate it when it is advertises as free, you download the app and then you have to pay to subscribe. Not going to do it.

Why is this still on the App Store for "free"?

So I downloaded this "free" app only to be redirected to the iTunes store within this "free" app to the $34.99 version of "Unbound Medicine, Inc. version of this App. Dont waste your time downloading this "free app". This should be removed from the App Store".

$34.99 NOT FREE

WTH?!? It said free, I read reviews, thought you could at least try it first. NOPE you need an acct & in order to set one up PAY $34.99.....PFFF! Waste of time! DO NOT EVEN DL, unless you like to use the delete feature!
